Welcome to our new site!
We are excited to share some of the knowledge that we have acquired over the years as balanced trainers and k9 lovers. At Balanced Approach K9 we strive to empower dog owners by teaching them a straightforward, no-nonsense balanced training system that provides the basic structure and maintenance required to allow your dog the freedom to be a dog. We believe with the proper structure and routine any pet owner can live a happy well-balanced life with their dog regardless of breed, previous training, temperament or behavioural issues. We will not sell you cool stories, pipe dreams or fluff. Instead, we will help you establish realistic expectations that work for your unique situation and you will see immediate results. Our interest is in what is best for your dog and our approach to balanced training is taken with that in mind.
What we have planned
We plan to update this page semi-regularly with updates about some of the dogs we are working with, various tips and tricks to help you in your own training, or even updates about our own dog Hodor and how we are maintaining his rehabilitation. Some things we have planned for future updates are: what balanced training means to us; how to build a better relationship with your dog; does breed really matter; and finally: the dangers over-socialization can pose for your new puppy. Please leave a comment below if there are any topics that you would like us to cover. We will do our best to answer any questions in future posts!
